Tracy Anderson’s dogs are facing scrutiny after an alleged attack on a neighbor.
The fitness guru’s beloved fluffy poodles allegedly escaped from her Hamptons property and viciously attacked an elderly neighbor, her attorney confirmed Thursday.
The incident in Sag Harbor left 76-year-old Monica Enders bleeding heavily from two bite wounds on her calf, according to a report first published by the Daily Mail.
Anderson, creator of the “Tracy Anderson Method” fitness program and a close friend of actress Gwyneth Paltrow, and her husband, Chris Asplundh, are “heartbroken” over what happened, attorney Edward Burke Jr. said.
“The dogs are loving family dogs that have never previously growled or surrounded anyone as reported,” Burke said in a statement to The Post.
“They are normal dogs that clearly got spooked. Chris was immediately on the scene, took full responsibility, and secured the animals.”
Although Burke expressed sympathy for Enders, his statement disputed her claim that she lost consciousness in an ambulance after being bitten by one of Anderson’s three poodles.
“Tracy and Chris were also with their neighbor immediately afterward and were surprised to learn through a media report that she subsequently lost consciousness, as she was conscious, walking, and speaking with them as they assisted her into the ambulance,” Burke said.
Burke said the three poodles, which Anderson regularly features in Instagram posts, escaped through a hole in Enders’ fence.
“Nevertheless, our clients immediately took action to ensure the area was secured and put up a temporary fence and will follow through with the neighbor to ensure they repair theirs to prevent anything like this from happening again,” he said. “Tracy and Chris continue to offer their full support and concern for her recovery.”
