The latest marriage of the Australian man filmed beating a puppy to death and eating it during a traditional wedding ceremony in Indonesia may already be facing serious strain.
Convicted drug dealer Robby Wirramanda, 53, whose real name is Robert Knight, provoked widespread outrage this month after killing a black puppy on the Indonesian island of West Nusa Tenggara, east of Bali.
The dog’s hind legs had reportedly been tied to prevent it from escaping. Footage showed Wirramanda striking the whimpering animal with a stick until it died during his wedding to 20-year-old local woman Rensi Ana.
Ana shared the video on Facebook. The footage also appeared to show Wirramanda stabbing a piglet to death, but the post was later removed after he faced a wave of public condemnation.
Since then, Wirramanda has uploaded videos showing him being baptised, followed by a second wedding ceremony with a more Western-style theme and his bride dressed in a lace-trimmed white gown.
However, speculation that the relationship is already under pressure has intensified after a series of tense videos appeared to show the couple arguing and trading barbs.
Some of the clips also show Wirramanda handling other puppies, including one that closely resembled the animal he killed.
In a separate video showing him stroking a golden labradoodle-style dog, Ana added a disturbing caption: ‘People who eat animals for breakfast should also have breakfast hehe.’

The whimpering puppy’s hind legs were tied to stop it escaping as Wirramanda was filmed beating it to death with a stick during his wedding to 20-year-old local bride Rensi Ana.
The footage has prompted a stark warning from animal protection group Bali Dogs and other online commentators. One wrote: ‘He is playing with it to gain its trust… then will kill it the same way.’
Another commenter said: ‘You shouldn’t be allowed near any animals.’
Only weeks after Wirramanda’s second marriage—and his apparent decision to be baptised—signs of tension have begun to emerge.
Ana appeared to be involved in an argument with her husband in one of several videos she recently posted to Facebook while building a following and monetising her new-found online profile.
Wearing a spotless white shirt, she appeared to snap at Wirramanda and told him to move away as she posed for the camera. She also pointed out that she was filming herself eating.
Wirramanda responded in a frustrated tone, repeatedly asking: ‘Is there anything you want me to put in the bag? How many times do you want me to ask you?’
When Ana did not respond and pointed toward her phone camera again, he exclaimed: ‘Oh my God!’
He then appeared to seize the phone from her hand before the recording ended.

Wirramanda, from Mildura in Victoria, was jailed for six and a half years in 2012 over an amphetamine trafficking operation he ran from his Melbourne gym.
He broke his silence after the puppy dog video went viral to deny slurs made by online trolls.
‘An extraordinary amount of false, defamatory and deeply disturbing information has been circulated about me across social media,’ he posted.
‘A significant amount of this material appears to be coming from, or being amplified by members and associates of my former partner’s family.
‘But there is an enormous difference between discussing someone’s documented past and inventing accusations of murder, rape, paedophilia, child trafficking and other serious crimes.’
He said he would report any further comments ‘to the appropriate authorities’.
However he continues to come under fire for the puppy-killing videos, although some locals have leapt to his defence.
‘Back when I was in junior high, I absolutely loved eating dog meat,’ said one user, posting in the local Indonesian Bahasa language.
‘I don’t eat it anymore because I’m an animal lover. That said, I still acknowledge the tradition in Sumba; my family does eat it, but we don’t kill dogs that guard the house.’

The notorious Facebook clip showed Wirramanda beating the dog before delivering the final death blows to the head while being egged on by his bride at his side.
‘If you encounter suspected animal cruelty, abuse, neglect, or other actions that could cause suffering to an animal, document the incident safely and report it,’ Animal Lawyer Indonesia pleaded on Instagram.
