Dave Grohl has faced a wave of online criticism after appearing with his wife, Jordyn Blum, at the MTV Video Music Awards months after his infidelity and love-child revelations thrust their marriage into the spotlight.
The 57-year-old Foo Fighters frontman joined Blum, 50, at Sunday night’s ceremony in Los Angeles, where the couple presented a united image while posing for photographers on the red carpet.
During the appearance, Grohl gestured toward the cameras and appeared to encourage Blum to smile. He then walked away from the carpet, with his wife following behind.
The brief interaction quickly drew attention online, as viewers took to social media to share their reactions to the couple’s body language.

Grohl and Blum married in 2003 and have three daughters: Violet, 20, Harper, 17, and Ophelia, 12.
The musician sparked widespread controversy in September 2024 when he revealed that he had fathered another daughter “outside of my marriage.”
The identity of the child’s mother emerged the following February. She was identified as Jennifer Young, a rock ’n’ roll fan who was originally from Florida and is now based in Los Angeles.

By September, a source told People that Blum had “forgiven” Grohl and that the couple were “very happy” again.
The pair appeared to reinforce that impression at Sunday’s event at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, where Blum was seen wearing Grohl’s ring.
Two of their daughters also joined them on the red carpet, and the family projected an image of togetherness during the high-profile appearance.
Grohl wrapped an arm tightly around his wife and flashed a broad smile while Blum, who matched him in head-to-toe black, grinned at his side.
He opted for classic rocker chic, throwing a fashionably rumpled leather jacket over his turtleneck and rounding off the look with jeans and leather shoes.
Meanwhile, Blum’s dress was skintight over the waist, emphasising her enviably svelte frame, while featuring a skirt that billowed outwards.
Although Grohl has admitted that the child he sired out of wedlock is a girl, he has otherwise afforded her a degree of privacy by refraining from disclosing her name.
However, the little girl’s mother has publicly divulged that the baby was born on August 1, 2024, the month before Grohl took the news public, via Page Six.
