Off-duty emergency workers were among those who rushed to help a devoted mother after a fatal M4 crash claimed her life, leaving behind three young children.
Jo Law, 31, was travelling along the motorway near Windsor when she was involved in the collision on September 9.
Her family later learned that several off-duty emergency service workers, who were caught in the traffic nearby, stopped and immediately went to her aid.
Despite their desperate efforts to save her, Ms Law, who was alone in the vehicle, died at the scene.
Her aunt, Samantha Neal, said the family could never fully express their gratitude to those who stayed with Jo and did everything they could to help.
“To everyone who stopped, offered their skills, provided assistance or simply remained by Jo’s side, thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” she said.
Ms Neal added that knowing Jo was surrounded by compassionate people who tried so hard to save her has brought the family “an incredible amount of comfort” during an otherwise devastating time.

The family later discovered that several off-duty emergency service workers caught in the traffic had stopped and rushed to help the mother-of-three.
Ms Neal described Jo as a devoted stay-at-home mother whose life revolved around her children, Harvie, Isla and Parker.
Paying tribute to her niece, she said: “Everything Jo did was for them. She loved teaching them about the world and preparing them for life.”
The family enjoyed spending time outdoors, including going out on motorbikes and taking part in dirt biking.
“She was a wonderful mother and very laid-back,” Ms Neal said. “She loved being with her large family.”
She also remembered Jo’s playful side, saying her niece enjoyed joking around, making TikToks with her children and performing silly dances.
The family has been left heartbroken by Jo’s death, although Ms Neal said the tragedy has brought relatives closer together.
“We’re a big family and live just a road apart, so I think this has united everyone even more,” she explained. “We had a family holiday in Ibiza in August, and we’re grateful we shared that time before this happened.”
Following the crash, the family launched a GoFundMe appeal with an initial target of £7,000. Donations have since surpassed £17,000.
The funds will help pay for Jo’s funeral, while any money left over will be saved for her children, who are now living with their father full-time.
Jo’s funeral is expected to take place in mid-October.
Ms Neal said: “Jo was a loving mother to three beautiful children. They were her entire world, and they now have to face life without her far too soon.”
‘As a family, we are trying to come to terms with the unimaginable pain of losing Jo while also facing the financial costs that come with such a sudden and heartbreaking loss.
‘We would like to raise funds to help towards Jo’s funeral and give her children some financial support as they begin to navigate the difficult road ahead without their mum.
‘Any contribution, no matter how big or small, would mean more to Jo’s family and children than words can express.’
She added that Ms Law was ‘loved by so many and will never be forgotten’ and her children will ‘always know just how deeply their mum was loved and how many people cared about her’.
Ms Law was born in Gravesend, Kent, and lived in Swanley her whole life.
