Fiona Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, has died, the family confirmed in a statement to ABC News.
In a statement released Wednesday, the Lowe family said they were “deeply heartbroken” by Fiona’s death, remembering her as a loving, intelligent and creative child who enjoyed dancing.
The family did not disclose a cause of death. Fiona was one of Chad Lowe and Kim Painter’s three children.
“She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents,” the family said, describing Fiona as “the light of our lives.”
The family said her death has been devastating and requested prayers and privacy as they grieve. They also urged anyone experiencing a mental health crisis, or concerned about someone else, to contact the 988 Suicide

Last November, Lowe marked Fiona’s 13th birthday with an affectionate Instagram tribute. “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear!” he wrote, adding that he loved her “soooo much.”
The family had also endured the loss of their home the previous year when a deadly wildfire tore through Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
At the time, Chad Lowe praised his daughters for their strength in the aftermath. “The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable,” he wrote on Instagram, calling their resilience inspiring and saying that supporting them through the hardship was his primary purpose as a father.
