Officials release 911 dispatch call in Ole Miss student death
Ole Miss TPUSA treasurer Symphany Grier appeared on “Fox & Friends First” to discuss the deaths of University of Mississippi students Aidan Hamilton and Robert Strang. Their deaths have drawn renewed attention to kratom, a controversial herbal extract widely sold online and at smoke shops.
Two clerks at Oxford, Mississippi, vape stores are facing federal drug charges after investigators allegedly connected purchases made by the two students to the stores before their deaths, according to court documents.
Yahya Mohamed Mosleh and Islam Yahya Mosleh have each been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, the documents state.
A DEA affidavit says bank records tied Aidan Hamilton to purchases at Puffs Vape Tobacco & Beer and Robert Strang to transactions at Express Mart #7. Investigators later recovered similar suspected kratom products at both students’ death scenes. Authorities also reported making undercover purchases and seizing more than 500 suspected kratom-related products from the Oxford vape shop.
