At 95, William Shatner may be nearing his centenary, but exclusive Our News Outlet footage suggests the Star Trek icon is showing little interest in slowing down. He was recently seen taking a dramatic drive through Los Angeles.
The actor was spotted behind the wheel of his Porsche SUV, with a cellphone held to his ear, as he traveled along a San Fernando Valley freeway last week, according to an eyewitness. His two beloved Dobermans were reportedly riding with him.
The outing allegedly took a more chaotic turn when the witness claimed Shatner was traveling at high speeds, passed through several stop signs and made an illegal turn while trying to enter the freeway.
According to the eyewitness, the maneuver forced another motorist to brake sharply. The driver was then reportedly seen gesturing and shouting in the direction of Shatner’s vehicle.
California generally prohibits motorists from holding and using a cellphone while driving. However, the still photographs obtained by Our News Outlet do not establish whether Shatner was driving at the moment he was pictured with the phone.
Despite the reportedly eventful journey, the veteran actor appeared unfazed as he continued running errands, with his two dogs waiting inside the SUV.

The 95-year-old Star Trek legend was photographed getting in and out of his luxury SUV. An eyewitness alleged that the drive became increasingly chaotic, claiming Shatner traveled at high speeds and went through several stop signs.
At one point, Shatner stopped at his favored wig store, Denise Johnson Originals, while his pets remained patiently inside the vehicle.
In a particularly affectionate moment, he leaned into the Porsche to pet and kiss one of his Dobermans before climbing back into the SUV and carrying on with his day.
Shatner’s representatives have not responded to Our News Outlet’s request for comment.
This is not the first time Captain Kirk has faced attention over his driving.
During an appearance at the Calgary Expo in Alberta, Canada, in April, Shatner recalled an incident from his Star Trek years in which he admitted speeding to the set before being stopped by police.
He said he had been rushing to make a 4 a.m. call time at Vasquez Rocks in Los Angeles County, where the series was filming, while dressed in his Captain Kirk costume.

Shatner appeared in good spirits in a blue button-down shirt, track pants and sneakers as he returned to his Porsche, where his beloved Dobermans were waiting.

In a tender moment, Shatner leaned into the vehicle to give one of his dogs an affectionate head rub and kiss.

Shatner is famously devoted to his dogs and made sure his four-legged companions joined him for the afternoon drive.

He was pulled over and initially feared he would be arrested, only to learn that the police officer was a fan of the show.
“He raises his hand in a Vulcan salute and says, ‘Live long and prosper,’” the actor told the crowd.
Earlier this year, Shatner was involved in another unusual driving incident when he was photographed eating from a bowl of cereal while behind the wheel of his car.
The Boston Legal star took his breakfast on the go – including a ceramic bowl and silver spoon – as he drove around Studio City.
Though, Shatner’s energetic outing on September 24 is perhaps on brand for the Hollywood star, who has repeatedly made clear that he has little interest in slowing down as he advances through his tenth decade.
In fact, Shatner – who celebrated his 95th birthday in March – surprised fans earlier this year when he announced he would be playing at Riot Fest music festival in Chicago while fronting his band The *uckers.

Shatner alluded to his Star Trek past in a statement about his participation at the festival.
‘I’ve always believed that music, like space, is about exploration,’ he said in an interview in July, according to People. ‘Riot Fest is exactly the kind of place where anything can happen.
‘We’re bringing volume, intensity, and a few surprises. I can’t wait to share this experience with the fans.’
The Canadian native later followed through with his ambitious plans, officially becoming the oldest performer in the festival’s history when he took the stage on September 20, according to Pacific Coast Radio.
Months earlier, Shatner had been forced to reassure fans he was ‘fit as a fiddle’ after rumors began to circulate on social media that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
The actor poured cold water on those claims, sharing a photo of him in a patio chair, seated upright and offering the camera a sprightly grin.
‘My Daughter came over to tell me her daughter heard that I had brain cancer,’ he wrote at the time, along with a rolling eyes emoji on X, formerly Twitter.
‘She took this photo and sent it to me to upload to prove I’m not ill. The people who are ill are those that are spreading these ridiculous stories. I’m fit as a fiddle. You don’t have to worry,’ he assured his fans.
