Low rain chances and low humidity make a comeback for Central Florida!
ORLANDO, Fla. – Moisture lingering behind the remnants of Isaias will keep Central Florida on alert for another day of scattered downpours. After that, a welcome shift is expected for the upcoming workweek.
Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms will gradually fade after sunset, with most activity moving north and east of the area by about 10 p.m. A stray shower could still develop through midnight, but generally dry weather is expected overnight. Rain chances will begin increasing Sunday morning in Marion County as a broken line of showers and storms tied to the lingering moisture moves in from the northwest. Overnight lows will settle in the mid-70s.
Sunday
The broken line of storms arriving in Marion County Sunday morning will gradually track south and east throughout the day. Scattered showers and storms are expected to spread toward the Orlando metro area and the I-4 corridor around lunchtime, then shift toward Interstate 95 and the Space Coast by midafternoon. Rain and storm chances will continue through sunset before tapering off.
Next Week
Drier air will begin moving into Central Florida Monday morning as high pressure strengthens over the northern Gulf Coast. The change will reduce rain chances and humidity while nudging temperatures slightly lower. Highs should remain in the upper 80s through the workweek, accompanied by noticeably lower humidity. By Tuesday morning, lows will fall back into the upper 60s, with that cooler overnight pattern continuing through the second half of the week.
