Despite £76m pay-off, Christian Horner charging fans £75 for UK tour

Mr Horner’s £25 memoir, Drive, is due to be published next Thursday. However, the book has already been reduced by half on Amazon’s pre-order service.

The 52-year-old has faced a furious backlash over the cost of tickets for his nine-day tour, which begins on Saturday evening at York’s Barbican Theatre.

Disappointed fans took to social media to voice their anger at the prices being charged for the autobiography events.

Ruth Charlton wrote on Facebook: ‘You’ve got to be kidding! I wouldn’t pay a penny to see him.’

Joanne Teager added: ‘I’d rather poke my eyes in.’

The memoir explores the defining moments of Mr Horner’s career, including the triumphs and setbacks he experienced at the summit of motorsport.

According to the tour website, fans prepared to pay the ticket price will have the chance to take part in a live question-and-answer session.

Mr Horner, who is married to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, 54, was removed as Red Bull’s Formula One CEO and Team Principal in July 2025 after two decades with the team.

The couple are estimated to have a combined fortune of £440million.

As reported by Daily Mail Sport last week, Mr Horner received a £67million severance payment. His dismissal came a year after he was cleared of misconduct linked to a texting scandal involving a female employee.

The former Red Bull CEO has consistently denied the allegations, while internal investigations cleared him of any impropriety on two occasions.

However, an anonymous email was made public before the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix, containing what were described as intimate text exchanges, messages and photographs involving Mr Horner and the female employee.
