Retired US Admiral Says UFOs May Hide in Oceans; Canada Base Claimed

Humanity has still found no confirmed evidence of contact with extraterrestrial life. But retired US Navy Admiral Tim Gallaudet has offered a striking explanation for why: advanced beings could be hiding in the ocean.

Gallaudet, who previously served as acting administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), recently outlined why he believes the deep sea could provide an ideal refuge for unidentified objects or non-human intelligence.

Speaking on the Hang Out with Sean Hannity podcast, Gallaudet said the ocean would be the logical place for anyone seeking to remain undetected.

“If they were to go somewhere basically to not be detected for a period of time… where would you want to go?” he said.

“You’d want to go… [to] the most unexplored area of the world, and that’s the ocean.”

Drawing on his decades of experience studying the seas, Gallaudet said vast parts of the underwater world remain poorly understood and could still conceal phenomena scientists have not identified.

“We’ve only explored with either drones, buoys [or] floats, about 10 percent of ocean volume,” he said. “So there’s a lot of mystery out there right now.”

His remarks come as UFO researcher Scott C. Waring claims to have identified what he believes may be an entrance to an underwater alien base off Canada’s coast.

Waring said he discovered a large, unexplained opening in waters near Nunavut. According to his account, the feature is more than 3,000 feet wide and lies about 32 feet beneath the surface.

A retired US Navy admiral claimed that UFOs could be hiding under Earth's ocean amid a claim that an alien base has been identified in waters off the coast of Canada

A retired US Navy admiral has suggested that UFOs could be concealed beneath Earth’s oceans, amid a claim that an alien base was identified in waters off Canada.

During the interview, Gallaudet pointed to a video that he said appeared to show unusual objects traveling underwater before emerging into the air.

“It goes into the ocean, no disturbance,” Gallaudet told Hannity.

“I’m aware of another video that shows something similar, but from overhead… so yeah, there’s something that they’ve been able to engineer that we have no idea how to reproduce,” he added.

Gallaudet said the objects appeared capable of passing through the sound barrier without producing the loud sonic boom normally associated with supersonic flight. He argued that the apparent maneuver cannot currently be explained by known technology.

In 2024, Gallaudet testified under oath before Congress about a 2015 incident in which UFOs allegedly came close to colliding with aircraft during a carrier strike group exercise. He also said an urgent email documenting the event later disappeared.

The former admiral has further claimed that Earth is visited by non-human intelligence using highly advanced technology, including the ability to move between air, water and possibly space.

Although Gallaudet has not identified specific locations where UFO facilities might be concealed, Waring believes his Nunavut discovery could represent one such site.

“I found an entrance to an underwater alien base, and it’s in the most remote area of northern Canada that one could go,” Waring wrote on his website, UFO Sightings Daily.

Tim Gallaudet, a former acting administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), recently explained why Earth's deep ocean may be the perfect hiding spot.

Tim Gallaudet, a former acting administrator of NOAA, has described Earth’s deep ocean as a potentially ideal location for anything seeking to avoid detection.

“It’s a huge tunnel for aliens to enter and exit, totally unseen in such a remote area.”

Waring suggested that a remotely operated or autonomous underwater vehicle could investigate the suspected tunnel and search for evidence of alien activity.

He said the proposed expedition could continue for several days before the craft returned with video and other recordings.

Such vehicles, Waring argued, would be able to reach depths that are too hazardous or inaccessible for human divers.

He also said an expedition of this kind could potentially create a direct channel of communication between the public and extraterrestrial beings.

Claims involving underwater UFOs have also been made by David Grusch, a former intelligence officer who now works with lawmakers on UFO transparency issues.

Grusch testified under oath in 2023 that the US government had operated secret programs spanning decades to recover and reverse-engineer crashed spacecraft of non-human origin.

Earlier this month, Grusch told Joe Rogan that officials knew of at least one enormous underwater facility allegedly used by extraterrestrials as a “base of operations” for their craft.

“I’m going to be careful because it gets into sensitive Navy underwater things,” Grusch said.

“There’s clearly some sort of base of operations in certain locations. It’s large. Don’t know when it got there… Like multiple city-block-type stuff.”

He added that “stuff comes and goes” from the alleged facility.

Grusch said his claims were based on files linked to highly classified programs, video evidence and accounts from government and military insiders.

The US military and White House, however, have repeatedly said that no physical evidence has been found proving the existence of UFOs or extraterrestrial life.
