A 61-year-old Texas man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way into another man’s home and threatening him with a knife over the homeowner’s communications with the man’s ex-wife, authorities said.
Henry Walter Chapman III is charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony, according to a press release from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
The alleged confrontation took place Oct. 12 at a residence on Fairway Bridge Drive in far north San Antonio, investigators said.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by San Antonio-based ABC affiliate KSAT, Chapman arrived at about 4:20 p.m. and told the homeowner he was connected to a group called the “Night Stalkers.”
He allegedly said he had come to deliver a warning.
When the homeowner attempted to shut the door, Chapman reportedly kicked it open and entered the residence, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Chapman then allegedly approached the homeowner while holding a knife, according to the charging document.

The affidavit says Chapman stabbed the kitchen island with the knife while demanding that the homeowner contact his ex-wife and promise to stop communicating with her.
“We will be back,” Chapman allegedly warned, suggesting he would return if the homeowner did not comply, investigators said.
The homeowner’s daughters were inside the house during the alleged confrontation.
The two girls watched from a second-floor balcony and later corroborated their father’s account, according to the charging document and the Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators used surveillance video to identify a vehicle believed to be connected to the incident. The affidavit says records showed that a black Mercedes C300 had been loaned to Chapman from Oct. 9 through Oct. 15.
Chapman was arrested Nov. 2 and remains held in the Bexar County Jail on $50,000 bond, KSAT reported.
