The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and his team of hoarding new naira notes to buy votes in the upcoming election.

In a statement on Sunday, the national publicity secretary for the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, blamed Tinubu for the pain that Nigerians are going through because of the currency crisis.

He said that the money problems that most Nigerians are having are sad and worry the PDP.

He said that if the PDP’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, won the presidential election in February, Nigerians would no longer have to suffer.

“Our party is, however saddened that the cash crunch had persisted due to the sabotage of corrupt APC leaders, including the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who are alleged to have masterminded the intercepting and hoarding of the new notes for their selfish agenda”, he claimed.
