Victoria has conducted over one million coronavirus tests, with 22,334 tests undertaken yesterday.
“That’s an enormous amount of testing,” Premier Daniel Andrews said.
“That testing rate is among the highest per 100,000 anywhere in the world, and I’m very grateful to everyone who has come forward and got tested.
“Please keep coming forward if you have even in mildest symptoms. It lets us know where the problem is, how we can deal with it, how we can trace and provide the best public health response.”
There are 72 Victorians in hospital, including 17 patients in intensive care. There are 1612 active cases of COVID-19 across the state.
