At just 19 years old, beloved influencer Isabel Veloso has tragically passed away, leaving behind a poignant letter to her young son. Her heartfelt farewell, directed to her one-year-old Arthur, has since touched hearts across the globe.
Veloso’s rise to prominence began on Instagram, where she candidly shared her four-year battle with Hodgkin lymphoma. Her openness and resilience resonated with many, drawing over four million followers to her account.
Sadly, after a 24-day stay in the hospital, Veloso passed away in Curitiba, Brazil, this past Saturday. Her journey and strength, however, continue to inspire through the words she left behind for Arthur.
In October 2025, as she prepared for a bone marrow transplant, Veloso penned a letter to her son. Her words, now widely shared online, convey a deep love and an enduring maternal presence, despite her absence.
Addressing Arthur, she wrote, “Hi, my love, Mummy isn’t with you right now, and I know you feel it.” This tender message has since become a testament to the bond that transcends even the most profound loss.
She told her infant son: ‘Hi, my love, Mummy isn’t with you right now, and I know you feel it.
‘I know you miss my lap, and that scent you’re searching for in the air that isn’t there.
‘But I want to tell you something, I haven’t gone away… I’m here, inside everything.

‘In your pillow, in your favorite toy, in the sounds the house makes when you wake up.
‘And most importantly… I’m inside the reason that made me get up once again: you, my love.
‘Mummy is in a place that takes care of her body so I can get strong again.
‘To carry you, to run in the park with you, to see you grow, smile, sleep peacefully.
‘And I will come back. It will take a little while, but I will come back.
‘With the same heart, with the same scent, with the same love, with a hug that will mend everything.
‘If someone is reading this to you, know this: Mum is listening too, wherever she is.
‘And what she wants most is to tell you: You are never alone.’
