
Fire and rescue services are responding to “multiple casualties” after a large explosion in a warehouse in Avonmouth.
Crews from six different rescue teams have responded to the incident, which occurred at 11.22am, near Bristol.
In a statement, Avon Fire & Rescue Service said: “We have been called to a large explosion at 11.22am in a warehouse in Avonmouth.
“Crews from Avonmouth, Southmead, Yate, Patchway, Kingswood and Temple are currently in attendance. There are multiple casualties and our ambulance colleagues are on site with us responding to this incident. We are also joined at the scene by Avon and Somerset Police.
“The incident is ongoing.”
