David Carrick, Serial Rapist and Former London Police Officer jails for serial rape
A former London police officer responsible for a two-decade-long abuse campaign against women was jailed for at least 30 years on Tuesday.
David Carrick pleaded guilty in January to 49 charges including rape, assault, and attempted rape. He was also false imprisonment by 12 women, making him one of Britain’s most prolific physical offenders.
Southward Crown Court Judge Bobby Cheema-Grubb sentenced him to 36 life sentences with a minimum term of 32 years. She also said Carrick that he represented a “danger to women” that would “go on indefinitely.”
Authorities said he allegedly met some of his victims on online dating apps or social occasions, using his position as a police officer to gain their trust.
He often humiliated the women, by stripping them naked and locking them in a small closet, urinating on them, and whipping them.
David Carrick’s criminal Record
David Carrick was also in the British Army. After then he became a police officer with the Metropolitan Police in 2001. He became part of the armed Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection team in 2009.
His employers investigated the allegations that he was a domestic abuse offender in 2002. After the Metropolitan Police and other British police forces collected many complaints about his behavior, he was re-certified to remain an armed police officer in 2017.
He has been also abused and raped multiple women he met using Badoo and Tinder, often in Hertfordshire, England between 2003 and 2020.
A lady who reported to police that he had raped her a year earlier decided to come forward in response to the kidnapping, rape, and murder of Sarah Everard, another Met officer in 2021.
David Carrick is 48 years old at the age of 2023. He was born on 4 January 1975, in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.
