Later this month, on July 18, BTS will release its first-ever live album, Permission to Dance on Stage – Live. The collection marks the South Korean group’s first release in years, as all seven members have finally completed mandatory military enlistment in their home country and are once again available to promote projects.

Fans will have to wait until early 2026 for brand new music, but in the meantime, this live collection, as well as the band’s older material, should satisfy millions of followers eager to celebrate BTS’s reunification. Listeners in the United States have focused their consumption on one track in particular, giving the group another champion.

“Home” Reenters the World Digital Song Sales Chart

“Home” reenters the World Digital Song Sales chart this week. The tune returns at No. 1 on Billboard’s ranking of the bestselling world tracks throughout the United States. The cut isn’t new to the list, but it’s never climbed so high before.

BTS Claims Thirty Eighth Champion on the Tally

BTS claims a thirty-eighth champion on the World Digital Song Sales tally as “Home” reappears. The group has long reigned as the most successful when it comes to accumulating rulers in this arena, and the musicians only extend their lead with another bestseller.

Blackpink, another K-pop outfit, claims the second-most leaders, with nine — less than one-seventh as many as BTS has accrued over the years.

“Home” Debuted Years Ago

“Home” is new to the top spot on the World Digital Song Sales chart, but it arrived on the roster for the first time more than half a decade ago. The BTS tune debuted on the World Digital Song Sales chart in April 2019. Seven weeks into its lifespan on the list, it finally reaches the summit.

“Home” Stands as BTS’s Only Hit in America

At the moment, “Home” is BTS’s only hit song in America right now, but the group fills several spaces on the related World Albums chart. On that tally, Proof holds at No. 9, while Map of the Soul: 7 declines four spaces to No. 24.

The band may experience something of a surge when Billboard refreshes its rankings in a few days, as excitement around the end of the K-pop act’s hiatus could impact the weekly lists.
