Authorities discovered two male victims with stab wounds: a 28-year-old who had been injured in the abdomen and a 32-year-old who suffered stab wounds to both the abdomen and buttocks.

Both men said the same suspect attacked them at the Grand Central-42nd Street subway station.

The younger victim approached an NYPD officer for help, while the older victim managed to reach Grand Central Terminal and inform an MTA officer of the incident, according to information shared with The U.S. Sun by the NYPD.

No arrests have been made as the suspect fled the scene following the stabbings.

The EMS immediately responded to the scene and brought the victims to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Statement from the NYPD

The NYPD told The U.S. Sun:

“On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, around 7:20 AM, police responded to a 911 report regarding an individual stabbed at Grand Central Terminal’s Mezzanine within the jurisdiction of Midtown South Precinct / Transit District 4. Upon their arrival, officers learned that a 28-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen and a 32-year-old man had been stabbed in both the abdomen and buttocks by an unknown suspect. The suspect fled the scene in an undetermined direction. EMS arrived on site and transported both victims to NYC Health and Hospitals / Bellevue, where they remain in stable condition. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is still active.”

The motive for the stabbing remains unclear.

The stabbing comes just two days after a man was arrested for stabbing two officers working at a criminal court in Manhattan.

The court officers were attacked at 9:45 am on June 16, according to the Associated Press.

Officers rushed to stop the attacker and disarmed him before putting him under arrest.

The two court officers sustained injuries related to slashing and stabbing, while three responding officers were also injured, court spokesperson Al Baker told the outlet.

The stabbing was allegedly a “targeted attack,” according to Baker, on the officers working security shifts at the courthouse.
