Bill de Blasio, the former mayor of New York City, is reportedly involved with Roxanna Valenzuela, the mayor of South Tucson, Arizona, according to three sources cited by the Daily Mail.

Insiders have revealed that Valenzuela has been discreetly dating de Blasio, despite the significant distance between them, as they reside over 2,000 miles apart.

Valenzuela is a mother to a toddler with her current partner, William ‘Billy’ Peard, and also has a teenage daughter from a previous marriage.

De Blasio, 64, recently concluded a 10-month relationship with Nomiki Konst, a 41-year-old progressive activist and media personality. Their relationship became public in February.

The pair amicably parted ways in recent weeks, following their joint support of New York City’s new mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, as seen last month.

According to a source close to Valenzuela’s family, the news of the relationship spread as she shared it with friends in Tucson. Interestingly, Konst is originally from Tucson and attended the University of Arizona.

‘I don’t think she gets the level of what she’s doing is going to ruin people’s lives,’ the source added, characterizing Valenzuela as ‘narcissistic’ without thinking about the impact on her family.

She ‘clearly thinks she’s hit the jackpot’ with de Blasio,’ the source added. Valenzuela and de Blasio haven’t been discreet about their digital footprint.

De Blasio only follows 33 people on his Instagram account, two of whom are Valenzuela and his most recent girlfriend, Nomiki Konst

Valenzuela is one of just 33 people whom the former mayor follows on Instagram. He has appeared in at least three photos posted on her Instagram account in the last six months.

The two first appeared in a photo on her page posted on June 1 of this year, and in another set of photos, Valenzuela is pressed into de Blasio during a visit to a New York City area soup kitchen in September.

De Blasio, Valenzuela, and Peard all did not return multiple requests for comment from the Daily Mail after attempts to reach them via email, phone calls, and social media messages.

Valenzuela is a mother to a toddler, Milena, born in 2023, as well as an older daughter, Chelsea Corona, who graduated high school at the age of 16 earlier this year in June.

According to a report released Sunday by the New York Post, de Blasio ended his most recent relationship after his rendezvous with an elected official from outside of the state of New York, whom the Daily Mail can now reveal is Valenzuela.

De Blasio and Valenzuela appear to share a passion for lefty politics, as the alleged lover frequently shares posts in support of Gaza, as well as others critical of ICE’s immigration enforcement in Arizona.

Valenzuela, along with fellow South Tucson city council members Cesar Aguirre and Brian Flagg, survived a recall election in August. 

The Daily Mail was also told by another in Valenzuela’s orbit back in Arizona that she ‘is ruining her life, her kids’ lives, and [Peard’s] life to be famous.’ 

Peard, her partner, is a former attorney for the ACLU of Arizona and previously ran for political office himself, seeking a seat in the Arizona House of Representatives in 2020, but lost in the Democratic primary.

Valenzuela only recently got into politics, because, as another source familiar with the situation told the Daily Mail ‘she just wants to be famous,’ after previously working as a hairstylist.

De Blasio, 64, had been in a relationship for 10 months with Nomiki Konst, 41, after the duo went public with their fling in February.

Konst is a progressive activist who has formerly been an investigative reporter for  ‘The Young Turks’, as well as a campaign surrogate for Bernie Sanders.

The duo reportedly ended their courtship after Konst got word that de Blasio had cheated on her, according to a friend of the woman who spoke with the New York Post.

‘The way it all went down was even worse than what he f**king did. She was really, really happy, and then, when it happened, I was like ‘What!?”, a source familiar with the matter told the Post.

‘She was so empathic, even though she was the victim, but he just kept hurting her. The problem was the public face aspect of it all. It was just horrible,’ they added.

De Blasio confirmed to the Post that the relationship had ended, noting that ‘Nomiki and I had a lovely relationship for 10 months, I have deep respect for her and what she stands for, and I hope we can have a real friendship in the future.’

De Blasio was NYC’s mayor from 2014 to 2021 and endorsed Mamdani in September.

At the time of going public with his relationship with Konst, de Blasio said that the duo had ‘known each other for a long time and are very kindred souls.’

Konst also formerly worked for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in 2012 as a co-chair, and has unsuccessfully run for Congress herself.

The daughter of a former legislator in upstate New York’s Erie County, she’s run for office two more times, both failures.

Konst ran for New York City Public Advocate and New York State Senate, losing in the former and withdrawing in the latter.

After stints with various progressive operations, including the far left Young Turks and a stint on Rising at The Hill, she went independent.

Konst hosts a political commentary program called The Nomiki Show and also appears on CBS News and CNN.

De Blasio separated from his wife, Chirlane McCray, in 2023 after 29 years of marriage. At the time, the two told the New York Times that they were not planning to divorce, but would date other people.
