Lainey Wilson, who boasts nine CMA Awards and recently secured the ACM Entertainer of the Year title, is taking on hosting duties. This year, she steps into the spotlight solo for the first time, having previously co-hosted with country icon Luke Bryan and former NFL star Peyton Manning.
Beyond her role as host, Wilson is also set to perform. Though she is keeping her performance details a surprise, the 33-year-old from Louisiana hinted to Country Now that her act will showcase her “fiery” and “sassy” persona. The evening’s lineup also features artists like Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, BigXthaPlug, Brandi Carlile, and Miranda Lambert, among others.
This year, Wilson is tied with Megan Moroney and Ella Langley for the highest number of CMA Award nominations, each garnering six. Following closely, Zach Top secured five nominations, while Riley Green and Cody Johnson each earned four.
The prestigious Entertainer of the Year award will see Wilson facing off against Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen. For the coveted Album of the Year, nominees include Moroney’s Am I Okay?, Top’s Cold Beer & Country Music, Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion, Wallen’s I’m the Problem, and Wilson’s Whirlwind.
