A widespread outage is affecting tens of thousands of users, with Google Cloud and Spotify experiencing downtime, according to Downdetector.com. Initial indications point to a significant Cloudflare glitch as the root cause.

The Google Workspace Dashboard indicates that the company is currently “looking into reports of an issue” affecting numerous Google services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, Google Cloud Search, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Meet, Google Tasks, and Google Voice.
“We will provide additional details shortly,” the bulletin mentions. “Our engineering team is actively investigating the problem, and we apologize to everyone impacted by this disruption.”
The issues with Google and Google Cloud began just after 2 p.m. ET and affect a host of other Google services. More than 20,000 users have reported issues, including server connections and the website.
Is Spotify Down?
Spotify, meanwhile, has more than 40,000 reports of issues on Downdetector. The outage also began around 2 p.m. ET.
