This weekend will see the FA Cup third round draw take place, with all 20 of the Premier League clubs entering the competition.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are the current holders of the competition after they defeated rivals Manchester United 2-1 at Wembley back in June.

Ilkay Gundogan scored twice in City’s win over Erik ten Hag’s side. The German midfielder scored the fastest goal in FA Cup history, putting City ahead after just 12 seconds.

When is the FA Cup third round draw?

The FA Cup third round draw is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 3. 

It will be shown live during Eastleigh’s second round tie with League One outfit Reading.

Every Premier League team will enter the draw for the third round of the historic competition. 

How to watch 

ITV will broadcast the third round draw live. Fans will also be able to stream it live via ITV X.

Football fans will also be able to watch the draw on for free on the Emirates FA Cup’s social media accounts.

When will the games be played? 

The third round fixtures are set to take place across on Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7.

It is likely that there will be a few ties that will be played on the Friday and the Monday – depending on TV schedules.

What are the ball numbers?

Holders Manchester City are ball No 23, while neighbours Manchester United are No 24.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be ball No 2, while bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur are ball No 40.
