The doctors in ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’ risk their lives to save patients.

When Life Gives You Tangerines and Trauma Code: Heroes on Call were the two big winners at the 2025 Blue Dragon Series Awards, which took place on July 18 in Seoul.
The Korean series awards are a spinoff of the annual Blue Dragon Film Awards. They were launched in 2022 in response to the growing global streaming market. Nominees are selected through online voting as well as evaluations by Sports Chosun entertainment news reporters and industry expert surveys.
The awards ceremony presented the Grand Prize or Daesang to the Netflix drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, which stars IU and Park Bo-gum. The slice of life story follows the characters they play from their childhood friendship on Jeju and for decades after. The series also won a Best Actress prize for IU and a Best Supporting Actress Award for Yeom Hye-ran, who previously also won a Baeksang Arts Award. The series also won the award for Best Drama at the Baeksang Arts Award.

Another Netflix drama, The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call won Best Drama and its star Ju Ji-hoon won the Best Actor award. Choo Young-woo, who also appears in The Tale of Lady Ok and can currently be seen in Head Over Heels, won the Best New Actor award for his role in The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call.
Karma, which stars Park Hae-soo and Shin Min-A, won a Best Supporting Actor award for actor Lee Kwang Soo (Running Man, The Divorce Insurance). The Best New Actress award went to Kim Min-ha (Pachinko, Girl With Eyes Closed) for her role in Way Back Love.
The Popularity Award was presented to Park Bo-gun, Hyeri, Lee Jun-hyuk and IU.
The Blue Dragon Series Awards only consider original dramas and variety shows produced and invested in by streaming services offered in Korea, including Netflix, Disney+, seezn, Apple TV+, WATCHA, wavve, Kakao TV, Coupang Play, and TVING.
