Heartland has captured the hearts of Netflix subscribers. But is the Canadian family drama leaving for good?
Seasons 1-16 are currently available for streaming on Netflix, although the series originally debuted in 2007 on Canada’s CBC Television. The show features a talented cast including Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Shaun Johnston, Chris Potter, and Graham Wardle. Set against the backdrop of a ranch in Alberta, it is adapted from Lauren Brooke’s Heartland book series, which consists of 25 novels.
The show was renewed for Season 19 on May 1, as announced via its social media channels. Filming for the upcoming season, which marks the show’s impressive 275th episode, began in mid-May.

Is Heartland leaving Netflix?
Unfortunately, Netflix has listed a notice on the title on the platform, which reads that the “last day to watch on Netflix” is July 31.
When reached by What’s on Netflix via a support chat, the streamer shared that “Netflix licenses TV shows and movies from studios around the world.”
“While we aim to keep the titles you want to watch, some may leave Netflix due to licensing agreements,” the platform explained. “When a TV show or movie license is set to expire, we evaluate various factors like the availability of the rights, its popularity in a specific region, and the cost of licensing.”

Where else can I watch Heartland?
Heartland Seasons 1-18 are streaming on UP Faith & Family, which has been releasing new episodes from the 10-episode-long Season 18 on Thursdays.
Don’t have a subscription? The first 15 seasons of the series are available on Prime Video, Peacock Premium, Tubi, Freevee, and the Roku Channel, while Seasons 1-17 are available to watch on Hallmark+.
