“In Australia, whistleblowers often encounter retaliation due to the existing gaps, exceptions, and stringent requirements in the country’s whistleblowing laws,” Cooper stated.
This development comes after a separate legal verdict revealed that individuals gathering evidence for public interest disclosures aren’t shielded by the immunity provisions of current whistleblowing legislation.
