Resume Genius, a career resource hub, has unveiled a fresh report titled “10 Best Jobs for Older People in 2025.” This analysis identifies the top high-paying positions for those aged 55 and above, focusing on jobs with lucrative salaries, minimal physical demands, and promising growth prospects.

The report draws on information from the BLS’s Labor Force Statistics Current Population Survey, O*NET Online, and the BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook to develop its findings. Criteria included removing positions offering under $49,500 annually and those needing more than a Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, listed jobs had to employ at least 100,000 individuals aged 55 or older.

Topping the list are sales managers, who oversee sales teams and strategize to expand client engagement. This role demands little physical exertion and offers a median hourly wage of $66.38. Accountants and auditors also make the top five by analyzing financial records and preparing tax returns, making them ideal for older workers seeking flexibility through seasonal or consultancy roles.
