Amazon’s Prime Video has new seasons of some fan favorites in May, in addition to a “Bosch” spinoff on its free sister service, Freevee.

First up, the “Lord of the Flies”-like survival thriller “The Wilds” (May 6) returns for its second season. Season 1 revealed that the group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island were part of an elaborate social experiment, and Season 2 adds to that explosive mix a second island, populated by teenage boys.

The following week will see a revival of the classic Canadian sketch comedy series “The Kids in the Hall” (May 13).  Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson are all back for the new eight-episode season of seriously quirky comedy.

But the biggest title of the month may be one appearing on Freevee, formerly known as IMDb TV, the free streaming service operated by Amazon AMZN, -4.58%. After seven seasons on Prime Video, the police drama “Bosch” ended its run last summer, but the story will pick right back up with Freevee’s “Bosch: Legacy” (May 6). Titus Welliver returns as Harry Bosch, now retired from the police force and working as a private investigator while his daughter, Maddie (Madison Lintz), follows in his footsteps as a rookie cop. Like “Bosch,” the spinoff is based on Michael Connelly’s popular series of novels.

Simmons and Sissy Spacek as a couple who discover a portal to another world; while Freevee also has “Troppo” (May 20), an Australian crime drama starring Thomas Jane.
