Jude Bellingham reportedly ‘left Real Madrid training early on Friday due to a stomach problem’ two days out from their crunch derby against Atletico Madrid.

The England superstar fired Carlo Ancelotti’s side to their first Champions League win of the new season, scoring yet another late goal in the 94th minute of injury time for the Spanish giants to claim a 1-0 victory against Union Berlin.

Having signed for the club earlier this summer for £113million, the 20-year-old has enjoyed a prolific start to life at the Bernabeu, having now scored six goals in six games across all competitions.

He has been a pivotal figure in the Madrid midfield so far this season, but according to AS, the England star may be a doubt for their upcoming derby against Atletico Madrid on Sunday after ‘leaving training on Friday with stomach problems’

It is thought that the club’s medical staff believe he will still feature in this weekend’s derby, however.

The England international is said to have trained with no issue on Thursday before falling unwell the following day whilst undergoing a session in the gym.

Last season, Bellingham only missed a handful of games through injury.

After being absent for their penultimate game of the campaign against Augsburg, he was benched for their final match against Mainz, but was not brought on in the draw that saw Edin Terzic’s side narrowly miss out on the Bundesliga title.

His fantastic start to life in Madrid has been the talk of world football, with MailSport columnist Bryan Robson saying: ‘If Jude Bellingham wins a trophy he will sit comfortably alongside any England great. We are witnessing someone very special.’

And speaking on his excellent start to life at the club he admitted that he would rather score last-gasp goals rather than those within 90 minutes.

After the match he said: 'I’m not going to lie I would much rather score in 90 plus minutes than the 15th'

Bellingham said: ‘I’m not going to lie I would much rather score in 90 plus minutes than the 15th even if it might strain the heart and the fans’ hearts. It’s always good to score late because it usually decides the game.’

He added: ‘I get goosebumps just talking about it now. I’m just so grateful to be at this club.

‘I talk about the staff and the players but there is the fans as well who as you arrive to the stadium are there in their thousands just to get a glimpse of the bus and then they are there before the warm-up.

‘You don’t really understand how big this club is until you are here.
