In a quiet neighborhood of Mansfield Park in Adelaide’s north-west, emergency services were urgently summoned to Moseley Street this morning around 9:30 a.m. A neighbor, alarmed by the sound of a woman’s screams, quickly dialed Triple Zero for help.
As paramedics arrived on the scene, they were soon joined by the woman’s distraught friends and family, all anxious to understand the situation unfolding before them.
The police have reported that the incident occurred when the woman exited her Toyota SUV, which unexpectedly rolled forward and trapped her beneath it.
Promptly, the injured woman was transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, receiving immediate medical attention.
Navye Poliyadath, a neighbor who witnessed the scene, described seeing the 39-year-old woman being carefully placed into the ambulance by paramedics. “I hope she’s OK,” Poliyadath expressed with concern.
“I hope she’s OK,” Poliyadath said.
The woman’s husband told 9News his wife is in a coma in intensive care.
Police will tow the vehicle as they investigate what went wrong.
