Lynette Bolton recently shared a positive update on her health, stating she is as “happy and healthy as can be” amidst her ongoing battle with cancer.

The well-known Channel Seven presenter stunned her social media followers when she announced just before Christmas that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was beginning chemotherapy treatment.

In a candid message to her fans, Lynette expressed her emotions, saying, “I’m not scared, I’m mostly upset,” as she began reevaluating her priorities for herself and her family in 2026.

Lynette, married to Sydney Swans legend Jude Bolton, is currently halfway through the initial phase of her treatment.

The couple, parents to two daughters, are also awaiting the results of genetic testing. Lynette emphasized the importance of family, noting, “That’s a big thing.”

Aside from her role as host of Seven’s Travel Oz, Lynette is a certified money coach. She has continued her professional commitments during her treatment, recently traveling to New Zealand to film an episode of the travel show.

The TV presenter has used her social media platform to send messages of support to others suffering with cancer, with Lynette having also revealed that she was astounded by the community she has found since announcing her diagnosis.

‘We’re not unique; lots of people are going through it,’ Lynette said to Sunrise.

‘I’m really trying to stay positive and what I love, the people going through the same thing.

‘I just want them to understand that this can be quite a lonely thing, even if you are surrounded by people, so I really appreciate the people that we have connected with and just let them know that we’re here for you as well.’

Lynette has urged others to ensure that they check their bodies and act quickly if they notice something out of the ordinary.

‘Check your bits, check all your bits, because there’s no differentiation. There’s nothing that says you will or you won’t,’ Lynette said.

‘I found my lump in the shower. It wasn’t an official check, it was just something that I noticed.

‘So please check your bits, boys, girls, parents, moles on their faces, let’s just be really proactive about keeping healthy and safe.’

Jude, a dual premiership player with the Sydney Swans, hailed his wife on Sunrise for her determination to battle the illness.

‘We’ve all been involved with charities over time, but your world just gets shaken when it’s one of your partners, and it’s: “Wow, where do you start from here”,’ he said.

‘You look at Lynette, and the way she just shows up and the stories that have come out, people saying I’m two weeks behind you, I don’t know what’s happened, the world feels like it’s been pulled from underneath me and she’s been there for them as well.

‘Because she just shows up, because she’s just there and positive about it, I think they don’t realise the gravity of what she’s going through,’ he said.

‘I think one day they will, they’ll look back and go: “Wow, mum was there the whole time and just did what she did”.

‘I think you have to (be positive). No one prepares for it, it’s just our time at the moment. We’re going to get through it; we’re halfway through the first part

‘You’ve just got to try and break it down. So many people are going through a similar struggle and it’s part of life, the highs and lows.’
