In the Station 19 Season 5 Episode 17 preview, Jack reveals to Andy that he contributed sperm for Maya (Danielle Savre) and Carina’s (Stefania Spampinato) baby. Although that’s massive news, the reason they are in the car together is bigger. Jack and Andy walk up to the steps to a large and beautiful home. They meet Jack’s brother together. He is portrayed by Grant Harvey. According to IMDb, the actor is well known for TNT’s Animal Kingdom, Billy Boy, Thumper, and Emancipation.

Jack discovered he has a brother in Station 19 Season 5 Episode 16 from the genetic testing he completed before becoming Maya and Carina’s donor.

Also in the Station 19 Season 5 Episode 17 promo, Andy receives an important phone call from her lawyer.

“They have agreed to let your colleagues testify,” the lawyer tells Andy on the phone. “This is very good news.”

Andy is still suspended from firefighting because she fought back from the sexual assault from another firefighter in episode 14. The man died after Andy defended herself. She’s now on trial for manslaughter for his death.

The Station 19 Season 5 Episode 17 synopsis gives more details about what happens in the May 12 episode.

“Vic and Theo respond to a domestic disturbance between the parents of a trans teenager,” the ABC synopsis reads. “Jack learns shocking new details about his childhood, and Ben and Travis help a clinic patient that’s long overdue for medical treatment.”

In addition to Jack and Andy’s visit to Jack’s brother, the other firefighters help patients in the field in the next episode of Station 19.
