KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — After Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, his wife Brittany and brother Jackson recently bought his mother, Randi, a new house in Texas, Patrick’s childhood home is for sale.

The home, located in Tyler, Texas, is up for sale for $285,000, which is $540,000 less than the home Mahomes just gifted his mother. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house hit the market Friday.

Fans of Mahomes, or those simply just looking to buy a house in Tyler, can purchase the home with what the listing says has “new countertops, a stylish backsplash, KitchenAid appliances, and modern lighting perfect for hosting friends and family.” The listing also mentions that the house has a spacious backyard.

As for Randi’s newly built home, it sits on land that was purchased back in 2023, per Realtor.com. While her previous home is nothing to scoff at, the gift from her sons and daughter-in-law is quite spectacular.

It’s bittersweet, but it’s time for a change and Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home,” Randi said.

“Now I have a large space for those grandbabies. There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house, but it’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now!!”

She echoed the excitement in her Instagram post as well.

“Home is where the heart is and my heart is full!” Randi wrote on Instagram, posing in multiple photos of the house.

“Beyond grateful for my amazing family @patrickmahomes @brittanylynne @jacksonmahomes and my grandbabies for this incredible blessing. Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home!”

Realtor.com says that the home comes complete with a dining room, butler’s pantry, a primary suite with a spa bathroom and floating tub and a perfectly maintained lawn on the exterior. The upgrade is just the latest of big real-estate purchases from the Mahomes, who own multiple properties in both the KC area and Texas.
