Justin Bieber has shared a rare smile as he sipped on a glass of wine after the release of his new album. 

The 31-year-old music sensation dropped his newest album, Swag, on Friday. Critics have described it as a ‘chaotic plea for help,’ hinting at his alleged mental and emotional struggles.

But he seemed in good spirits on Sunday as he took to his Instagram to share two shirtless snaps of himself. 

In the pictures, Justin’s tattoos were on display as he went shirtless while sipping on a glass of red wine on what appeared to be a yacht. 

Justin seemed to be happy in the snaps, as he sported a rare smile after months of concerning fans with his behaviour.  

These cheerful images appear after a series of unpredictable actions, such as the star uploading more than 20 Instagram posts on Father’s Day. Among these were images depicting drug use, a chat where he insulted a friend, and what seemed to be a derogatory comment towards his wife Hailey, whom he referred to as a ‘lil ho.’

Justin sparked fan concern earlier this month with another cryptic Instagram post, as he shared five photos and captioned them ‘Detoxxxxxxxxxxx.’

Additionally, he shared four close-up selfies with a towel draped over his head, showing him sweating heavily, with perspiration visibly streaming down his face.

The Baby hitmaker appeared to be forcing a smirk in the images.

The definition of detox is to ‘abstain from or rid the body of toxic or unhealthy substances’ or ‘a program or facility for assisting a person undergoing detoxification.’

He did not clarify what he was detoxing from, but detoxes and cleanses can also be done to remove toxins from your body, lose weight, or just promote wellness.

Just 24 hours before Justin shared the detox snaps, he shared a group of photos of himself smoking marijuana with friends in another Instagram post.

In one of the photos of the table cluttered with weed packages, a bong stood out.

While the former child star has been frantically posting a barrage of online content in recent weeks, it’s been reported that the Biebers’ marriage is under a lot of stress.

‘Justin’s been a hard person to deal with recently because of what he’s going through,’ a source dished to Us Weekly earlier this week. ‘It’s been really hard on her.’

The person added: ‘Family issues have clouded her success.’

And on his new album, the track Walking Away, appeared to allude to his marriage problems with Hailey, where he sings: ‘You were my diamond, gave you a ring, made you a promise, I told you I’d change, it’s just human nature, these growing pains…’

One viral video, filmed on Father’s Day when he confronted a photographer, showed the singer saying: ‘I’m a dad. I’m a husband. You’re not getting it. It’s not clocking to you. I’m standing on business.’

On his first Father’s Day, after welcoming son Jack with Hailey in August last year, Justin posted a statement on Instagram where he confessed to being ‘broken’, ‘angry’ and ‘exhausted’ from thinking about himself all the time. 

During the track Therapy Session, Justin comments on his recent behaviour and claims that he has ‘lost his mind’ on social media.

Speaking to US comedian Druski, Justin says: ‘That has been a tough thing for me recently, is feeling like I have had to go through a lot of my struggles as a human as all of us do really publicly and so people are always asking if I’m okay, that starts to really weigh on me.

‘It starts to make me feel like I’m the one with issues and everyone else is perfect.’

But they have put on a united front for Justin’s album release, which shows the couple together in a series of images alongside their son and Hailey laying on her husband’s bare chest.

His album Swag seemingly alludes to a dark time between the couple in lyrics about them ‘taking a break’ and ‘testing patience’, in the song Walking Away.

After months of rumours about the state of the A-list couple’s marriage, amid concern for Justin’s well-being due to his erratic behaviour, Justin vowed to ‘change’ for his wife following a rocky period.

‘Days go by so fast, don’t wanna spend them with you / So tell me why you’re throwing stones at my back / You know I’m defenseless,’ he sings in the first verse.

‘Girl, we better stop before we say some s*** / We’ve been testing our patience / I think we better off if we just take a break,’ he continues.

But the chorus and subsequent verses paint a picture of their enduring love despite strife.

‘Baby, I ain’t walking away / You were my diamond / Gave you a ring / I made you a promise / I told you, I’d change / It’s just human nature / These growing pains / And baby, I ain’t walking away,’ he sings in the chorus.

As Justin commented on their marriage strife, Hailey also had some choice words for their fans as she took to social media to promote the singer’s album.

Hailey took aim at the ‘losers’ who’ve speculated about their relationship as she re-posted a photo of Justin’s massive Swag billboard in NYC’s Times Square.
