Sabrina Spanta is an American-Afghan fashion designer based in Detroit.

She is recently notable as a participant in the latest season the Bravo TV’s reality show, Project Runway. Project Runway is a fashion competition television show where the candidates have to create their best and unique cloth in a given timeframe, theme and materials.

The designs are judged by four judges. The judges in this season are Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell, Elaine Welteroth along with Christian Siriano as a mentor.

Sabrina Spanta is 29 years old. As said above, she is the youngest girl in the show while Darren Apolonio, of age 27 is the youngest overall.

Sabrina was born and raised in Afghanistan. Due to various reasons, she does not displace her birth town as her family still lives back there.

When she fled from Afghanistan, her age was only 6. Even though she did not get to spend much time in Afghanistan, she still encompasses Afghan culture in her designs.

Sabrina’s father was also a tailor which inspired her to continue the profession. The vibrant colours, sparking designs and pattern-based structures are all references to Afghani culture.

Sabrina Spanta does not seem to have a boyfriend. Even if she does, she definitely does not enjoy talking with the public.

Sabrina Spanta is now a US citizen. However, her Afghani background is still breathing in her.

Spanta fled from Afghanistan during the War in Afghanistan which ended earlier this year. She fled along with her father, mother and sister to Pakistan. Tragically, her mother passed away during the escape.

After some time, Spanta and her sister were adopted by her great aunt in the United States. Although she still has a brother and two sisters back in her home, who are now under the Taliban regime.
