What is Mellstroy’s Net Worth?
Mellstroy, a prominent Belarusian internet figure, has amassed a remarkable net worth of $20 million through his engaging online presence. Widely recognized for his controversial “trash streams,” blogs, and viral contests, Mellstroy has captivated audiences on Instagram, TikTok, and the live-streaming platform Kick. His fame is further fueled by high-profile online casino endorsements and extravagant giveaways, including apartments, cars, and hefty cash prizes.
Early Life and Education
Born Andrey Burym on December 15, 1998, in Gomel, Belarus, Mellstroy grew up with an older brother named Sergey. At just 12 years old, Burym began crafting servers for the popular game “Minecraft” and engaged in trading, which helped him earn money at a young age. His passion for gaming continued with “Dota 2.” Although he enrolled in a vocational school to study electromechanics, he ultimately decided to abandon his studies to pursue a career online.
Internet Career
In 2016, Burym launched his YouTube channel under the alias Mellstroy, initially producing Let’s Play videos featuring games such as “Minecraft,” “Dota 2,” and “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.” Despite his efforts, these videos failed to attract a substantial audience, prompting Mellstroy to pivot towards live streaming. He adopted a provocative and sometimes risky approach in his streams, enticing female participants to perform on-camera stunts for publicity. This led to a shift into prank content, where Mellstroy would impersonate others to meet women, ultimately leading to his breakthrough and attracting numerous advertising deals.
By 2020, Mellstroy relocated to Moscow, operating from an apartment in the Moscow-City complex. His notoriety skyrocketed with his trash streams, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he hosted extensive live streams featuring other internet personalities. By mid-2020, his following had grown to approximately 500,000, though his ascent was abruptly halted after he violently assaulted a woman during a live stream. This incident resulted in the suspension of his YouTube channel and a criminal case, culminating in a six-month correctional labor sentence. Despite attempts to continue broadcasting via temporary channels, these were also shut down.
At the close of 2022, Mellstroy staged a comeback with a live stream from a rented house, during which he raffled a Maybach car. Remarkably, Alyona Yefremova, the woman involved in the earlier assault, appeared on the stream, suggesting a reconciliation. Early in 2023, Mellstroy relocated to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, shifting his focus to the Kick platform after being banned from Twitch and Trovo for promoting online casinos. Mid-2023 saw Mellstroy embroiled in controversy again, as he persuaded prominent Russian streamers to partake in challenges, including shaving their heads, by offering substantial donations. In early 2024, he incited further debate by encouraging content creation about him on social media, launching a contest with significant cash prizes for high-profile bloggers and athletes who engaged with his accounts. The prize pool ballooned to 322 million rubles, attracting followers like rapper Drake and YouTuber MrBeast, while video greetings came from figures such as MMA fighter Conor McGregor and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.
In February 2024, Mellstroy left the UAE for Turkey amid a looming criminal case and ceased his trash streams. By March, he returned to Russia, despite being wanted there for allegedly dodging Belarusian military service. He redeemed his reputation by donating clothing and sports equipment to Belarusian orphanages. While residing in Moscow, he stayed in a luxurious presidential suite costing a million rubles per night. Mellstroy reached a career milestone on Kick with a joint stream alongside rapper Morgenshtern, drawing over 720,000 concurrent viewers—a record for post-Soviet Russia—and earning him approximately 300 million rubles from online casino advertisements. Following this achievement, he expressed a sense of purposelessness, feeling he had reached his life’s pinnacle. By summer 2024, Mellstroy was living in Cyprus. In 2025, he launched an online casino in collaboration with the betting company 1Win, dubbed Mellstroy.game. In October 2025, he initiated a challenge offering prizes, including 30 apartments and a staggering $1.5 million prize fund.
Earnings
Mellstroy has frequently boasted about the scale of his income, at times claiming that during his peak streaming years he earned between 200 and 800 million rubles per month, which would have translated to roughly $2.6 million to $11 million USD per month depending on the exchange rate at the time. Other estimates have placed his real earnings far lower but still substantial, suggesting he could generate about 80 million rubles in a two-week period, or around $1 million USD, when combining streaming revenue, donations, sponsorships, and advertising.
