He co-owns the film production house 24 Frames Factory and also oversees the work of the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, an organization that was founded by his father. He is the founder and chairman of New York Academy, a school in Hyderabad; and is also the chairman of Spring Board Academy and Spring Board International Preschools, an educational group with more than 75 branches across the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

1. Vishnu, during his time at the Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, had represented the university cricket team and had also captained the university basketball team.
2. During the shooting of the 2018 comedy film Achari America Yatra (2018), in Malaysia, he had a near-fatal experience on the set. He had suffered serious injuries when he had hit his on-screen opponent with a helmet during a bike stunt scene.
3. In October 2021, he had won the presidential election of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), defeating the veteran actor, film director, producer, TV presenter, and politician Prakash Raj.
