Paul Maurice is a hockey player and coach from Canada. He has also served as the head coach of the National Hockey League’s Winnipeg Jets (NHL).
Maurice became the NHL’s youngest coach to coach 1,000 games in the league’s history. On November 28, 2010, he reached the milestone.
He began his junior hockey career as a defenceman in the Ontario Hockey League and played for four years until suffering an eye injury.

He went on to say that if someone loses their passion for the game, they would not be as excellent as they may be. He coached 600 regular-season games for the Jets throughout his tenure with the team.

At the end of 2008, Hurricanes re-hired Paul before the Carolina Hurricanes fired him in 2011.
After working with Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for a brief period of time, he joined the Jets.
