Lamman Rucker was born on 6 October 1971, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, of part-Barbadian ancestry. Lamman is an actor, best known for appearing in various daytime soap operas such as “All My Children” and “As the World Turns. He’s also been a part of numerous Tyler Perry films. including “Meet the Browns”, but all of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Rucker grew up in the greater Washington D.C. area. He appeared in many child pageants, and had a very supportive family. He then became interested in acting, and appeared in a fourth grade production as Martin Luther King. In the seventh grade he became a part of his school’s drama club. He transferred to attend Duke Ellington School of the Arts. and after matriculating went to Carnegie-Mellon University, and then Duquesne University.

After appearing in numerous minor roles, Lamman got his first major role in the CBS daytime soap opera entitled “As the World Turns” in 2002, in which he played the role of attorney T. Marshall Travers, opposite Tamara Tunie in the long running soap. He eventually left the series the following year and then joined ABC’s “All My Children” in 2005, as Garret Williams. Around this time he also had recurring roles in two UPN sitcoms, “Half & Half” and “All of Us”. These were popular shows that were part of UPN before it became defunct.

Eventually, Rucker found popularity and his net worth started increasing when he became part of several Tyler Perry films. He co-starred in 2007’s “Why Did I Get Married?” which starred Janet Jackson and Keesha Sharp, and then appeared in the film “Meet the Browns” the following year as Will Brown, based on a play of the same name, and it led to a sitcom which ran from 2009 to 2011, and he was also part of the television iteration. Around this time, he also appeared in the sequel “Why Did I Get Married Too?” reprising his role. After “Meet the Browns” ended, he became part of the comedy series “Save me”, opposite Anne Heche, however, after the pilot episode he was removed from the show. He continued to have small roles in various films and television movies, including being cast in the short-lived series “South of Hell” opposite Mena Suvari. One of his latest projects is the drama “Greenleaf” – in which he is one of the leads – airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

For his personal life, it is known that Rucker has been dating “Why Did I Get Married?” co-star Denise Boutte though neither of them have confirmed a relationship. He was previously in a relationship with Jill Scott, whom he also met during the shooting of that film.
