Yulia entered the “The Morning Star” contest for young talents when she was eleven years old. She graduated from Pskov’s secondary school No. 24 in 2001.

She went to the Pskov State Pedagogical Institute’s Faculty of Russian Philology after high school, but after barely a year, she moved to Moscow and enrolled in a theater institution. She received her diploma from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts’ acting and directing departments in 2006.
