Andy Byron is the CEO of Astronomer, a data orchestration company valued at over £1.2 billion, joining the company in July 2023 as the third CEO of the year. He followed Scott Yara, a managing director at Sutter Hill Ventures in Palo Alto, and Joe Otto, who led the company from its inception in 2018 until January 2023.

Before stepping into his role as CEO, Byron spent time gaining insights into Astronomer while working as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Sutter Hill, one of Astronomer’s investors. Despite facing challenges such as two rounds of layoffs in January and April, Byron recognized significant potential in Astronomer.
