Originally from Hong Kong, Pui Man found her passion for baking again during the lockdown period and hasn’t stopped since. She is dedicated to creating stunning and adventurous bakes, practicing diligently to achieve near-perfect results.
Aside from her baking, Pui Man also dedicates three evenings each week to volunteering. She collects surplus food from supermarkets and helps distribute it to her community. In her downtime, she enjoys relaxing at the pub with a friend, often spending time knitting over a pint.

She announced her participation on Instagram, saying, “After keeping quiet for ages, I can proudly say I baked in the legendary Bake Off tent. It was an absolutely amazing experience, and it was the hardest thing I had ever done.”
Though Pui Man applied to be on Bake Off four times before being selected, her perseverance paid off. While many bakers aim for the coveted Hollywood handshake, Pui Man hopes to earn the show’s first-ever Hollywood hug.
On joining the show, Pui Man expressed confidence in her skills, saying, “I am good at everything I have known and practised.” However, as a perfectionist, she admits feeling frustrated when things don’t turn out flawlessly.
She added: “I dreamed about myself in the tent all the time and I dreamed about meeting some ex-bakers all the time. I was at home when I got the phone call from one of the team, and I was shocked because I had applied four times and no success in the past.”
