Derek Dixon is an American actor and playwright, widely recognized for portraying Dale in the BET political drama series “The Oval,” alongside Brad Benedict and Kron Moore. He also appeared in the show Ruthless.

Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Dixon relocated to New York City, where he pursued studies at Marymount Manhattan College and honed his acting skills at The Terry Schreiber Studio. Following his training, Dixon launched his acting career in theater, taking on roles in productions such as The Lion in Winter, Romeo and Juliet, and The Boys In The Band.
