Ciaran Brennan Biography – Ciaran Brennan Wiki

Ciaran Brennan leads the culinary team at Osip, a unique farm-to-table dining experience located in Bruton, Somerset. This distinctive restaurant eschews a fixed menu, instead crafting a dynamic array of dishes each day, inspired by the freshest ingredients sourced from the farm and local purveyors.

Originating from Leicester and growing up in Devon, Ciaran began his culinary journey in 2016 under Merlin Labron-Johnson at Portland, a London restaurant. His passion for cooking over open flames was sparked during his 2018 stint at Ester in Australia. Returning to England in 2019, he helped launch Osip as sous chef and ascended to head chef in 2021, significantly influencing the restaurant’s unique character.

Under Ciaran’s leadership, Osip achieved a Michelin Star in January 2021, just eight months post-opening, and was later awarded a Michelin Green Star for its dedication to sustainable practices. The restaurant has garnered extensive acclaim, including the title of Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year 2025 and a spot on the Condé Nast Traveller Hot List, recognized as one of the world’s most thrilling new dining destinations.

In 2023, Ciaran earned a spot on CODE Hospitality’s 30 Under 30 list, highlighting him as one of the UK’s most promising young figures in the hospitality scene.
