Sophie Newlands Biography – Sophie Newlands Wiki

Sophie Newlands, an expert in the art of painting, is making waves as a contestant on the BBC’s Interior Design Masters 2026. Celebrated for her ‘rock & roll maximalism’, Sophie delights in blending vibrant jewel tones with bold prints and a mix of eclectic antiques. She is the driving force behind Shag Interior, her own interior design venture where her creative flair shines brightly.

In 2017, at just 27, Sophie embarked on her entrepreneurial journey with Brimstone, a business she established to bring rock & roll-inspired accessories to life. Juggling this venture alongside her full-time job, she crafted unique pieces for notable musicians and actors, including members of Alice Cooper, The Big Push, and Pale Waves, as well as artists like Lucy Fallon and Kira Mac.

By the summer of 2019, Sophie took the leap to become fully self-employed, immersing herself in the bustling fashion scene of London, where she showcased her creations at prominent pop-up events alongside well-known brands. However, the onset of the pandemic presented challenges, prompting her to pivot and launch Hell Fire Collective. This new initiative provided a vital platform, supporting small brands by offering them a physical retail presence.

Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, Sophie’s journey has taken her from the vibrant streets of London to the sunny avenues of Los Angeles, eventually leading her back to Staffordshire. Here, she resides with her husband Brad Newlands, a musician and barber, and their beloved dog, Duchess. Brad is a member of Bad Touch, a classic rock band originating from Norfolk, England.
