Michelle Sisco serves as a judge on the 13th Circuit Court in Hillsborough County, Florida. Presently, she is responsible for Trial Division I, where she oversees both civil and criminal jury trials, as well as Criminal Division J, where she handles post-conviction relief matters.

Judge Sisco was initially appointed to the County Court bench by Governor Jeb Bush in August 2002, followed by her appointment to the Circuit Court bench in October 2005. Throughout her career, she has presided over various courts, including County Criminal, County Civil, Family Law Domestic Violence, Juvenile Delinquency, Circuit Criminal, and Circuit Civil.

A graduate of H.B. Plant High School, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Florida College of Law, Judge Michelle Sisco began her legal career in 1991 as an assistant state attorney with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office. During her tenure, she prosecuted thousands of cases, including those involving capital murder, and advanced to the position of deputy chief of a felony division.

In 1998, Judge Sisco transitioned from the State Attorney’s Office to join Trombley & Hanes, P.A., a law firm focusing on white-collar criminal defense, as an associate.

She is Board-Certified in Criminal Trial Practice and previously worked as a legal intern for United States District Court Judge Elizabeth A. Kovachevich.
