Justin Beresky serves as a judge at the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona, having been appointed by former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, a member of the Republican Party, on January 3, 2018. Before his judgeship, he worked as a Commissioner at the same court from 2012 to 2017.
Prior to his appointment, Judge Beresky worked at Beresky & Fish, P.C. from 2001 to 2012, focusing on areas such as criminal defense, family law, personal injury, bankruptcy, and general civil litigation. Earlier, he was a Deputy County Attorney with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office between 1999 and 2001, and began his legal path as an Associate at the Law Offices of H. Eldon Hanson in 1998.
Judge Beresky is a Grangeville High School alum, class of 1990. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education at the University of New Mexico in 1994 and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1997. In May 1998, he was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and joined the Maricopa County Bar Association in 2001.
Judge Beresky was a member of the City of Glendale Judicial Selection Advisory Board from 9/2014-2018 and the Arizona State Bar Professionalism Committee from 10/15-2017.
