Jonni Knight, an innovative interior designer and content creator hailing from Watford, has roots in Yorkshire. He not only operates a performing arts school but also breathes new life into homes with a vibrant mid-century aesthetic, embracing bold hues and hands-on projects. As the mastermind behind Jonni Knight Design, he offers a range of interior design services tailored to his clients’ unique tastes.

Currently, Jonni is competing on the BBC’s 2026 season of Interior Design Masters. Reflecting on his journey, he shared with the BBC, “After stepping away from performing, interior design became my creative outlet. The show seemed like the perfect way to challenge myself. I often wondered how I could redirect my creativity away from the limelight, and interior design was the answer. I wanted to test my ideas in a high-stakes setting, and I enjoyed every moment of it!”

Interior Design Masters 2026

As a participant in Series 7 of Interior Design Masters on BBC One, Jonni is guided by comedian Alan Carr as the host, with experienced interiors authority Michelle Ogundehin serving as the head judge. Each episode also features a lineup of guest judges who lend their expertise.

Jonni characterizes his design approach as “Bold, Classic, Chic.” He has a deep appreciation for vintage furniture, believing it possesses an enduring appeal. He remarked, “Trends might come and go, but vintage pieces evolve beyond trends to tell their own stories. I love how some items can gain new purposes and hold onto memories while creating new ones. They add immediate warmth and character to a room, making it feel cozy and lived-in rather than overly pristine.”

Discussing what audiences can anticipate from this season, he enthused, “This series is bursting with diverse personalities who are both daring and imaginative! We tackled challenges with incredibly creative transformations and perspectives. Each designer brings unique insights, making the competition truly thrilling. Viewers can look forward to plenty of risks, moments of chaos, and genuinely inspiring designs. Plus, there’s lots of fun and laughter along the way!”
