Andrew Cabot serves as the founder and CEO of Privateer Rum, a spirits company located in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Additionally, he holds the position of COO. Cabot traces his lineage back six generations to the original Andrew Cabot (1750-1791), whose legacy was the catalyst for starting Privateer Rum.

The company website provides a biography of Cabot, noting that his forebear, Andrew Cabot (1750-1791), was a merchant, rum distiller, and a prominent American privateer during the American Revolution. The original Andrew Cabot commanded a fleet of over twenty-five ships, including the True American, after which their rum is named.

Before founding Privateer Rum, Cabot was the president of Content Objects, Inc. for nearly four years. His previous roles include serving as COO of Metrix Systems in France from 2001 to 2003, as well as the VP of Marketing & Business Development for Radview Software from August 1998 to February 2001.
