Nicole Westmoreland is a criminal defense lawyer located in Atlanta, Georgia. She is authorized to practice law in Florida, Georgia, and New York and works at Westmoreland Law LLC. At 43 years old, Nicole represented Quamarvious Nichols, a codefendant of Young Thug, in the YSL trial. Her current client is Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Nicole completed her legal education at Stetson University College of Law, graduating in 2017. She joined The Florida Bar in the same year, then became a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the New York State Office of Court Administration in 2018.

At 43, Nicole Westmoreland serves as the attorney for Sean “Diddy” Combs during his trial at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse in New York. She was added to Combs’s defense team later in the process, officially appearing as his attorney on May 6, 2025, as jury selection got underway. Nicole, a Black female lawyer, fulfills a specific demographic that Combs was reportedly keen to have on his defense team.

Combs’ defense team is led by attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos. Agnifilo is a founding partner at Agnifilo Intrater. Geragos is part of the Agnifilo Intrater law firm, and also worked with Agnifilo at Brafman and Associates, which has represented Combs in other legal matters.

Survivor

Atlanta-based attorney Nicole Westmoreland is a survivor of sexual assault. In 2001, she survived a sexual assault at an Atlanta recording studio when she was 19 years old. She worked for a company that helped people reinstate suspended driver’s licenses. According to Nicole via TMZ, Bryan Williams, vice president of Cash Money Records, and a man named “Stone” met her and asked her to make a sales pitch to the company at Patchwerk Recording Studio in Atlanta.

One night, Nicole and three female friends went to the recording studio, where a large gathering was taking place. A man named Alfred Cleveland was there. He was a friend of Ronald Williams, then president of CMR and Bryan’s brother. During the evening, Nicole went to use the restroom and Cleveland offered to show her where it was. Nicole said Cleveland got her to the bathroom, forced her inside and raped her.

She said another man came to the door, during which Cleveland allegedly told him to keep guard and then allegedly tried to pass her off to him — but, Nicole says she begged him not to, and he let her go. Nicole later said she was threatened about going to the police … but, she did anyway — and, Cleveland was arrested and charged with rape. He ultimately pled guilty to aggravated assault with intent to rape.
