Born Gerald Yingst III, Trey Yingst is a celebrated journalist and author known for his award-winning work. He presently serves as the chief foreign correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC), having joined their team in August 2018. As an American journalist, Yingst has reported from various countries around the world, including Ukraine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Gaza, Israel, Turkey, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Morocco.

Before his tenure at FOX News, Yingst worked as the Chief Washington correspondent for OAN, covering the early phase of the Trump administration. During his 16-month stint, he broke significant stories such as the indictment of 13 Russian nationals and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s anticipated meeting with President Trump. The Poynter Institute recognized Yingst for his tenacious questioning of the Trump administration.

Yingst’s earlier contributions include reporting for BBC News, where he covered pivotal breaking news events like the police brutality protests in Baltimore, MD, and Ferguson, MO, gaining national attention for his Ferguson coverage.
